Harvest Moonshine

Harvest Moonshine

Ingredients

 

2 ounces Back 40 Moonshine

2 ounces apple juice

1 ounce cinnamon simple syrup

½ ounce lemon juice

For a hint of salty sweetness add a splash of caramel simple syrup 

Garnish - apple wedge and cinnamon stick




 

Prep

Cinnamon Simple Syrup

 

In a medium saucepot, add water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks.  Set over medium heat and bring to a boil.  Remove from heat.  Cover pot and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes.  Strain out cinnamon sticks.  Allow the cinnamon simple syrup to cool to room temperature.  Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.  Keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.


 

In a cocktail shaker combine Back 40 Moonshine,  apple juice, cinnamon simple syrup, and lemon juice.  Fill shaker ? full of ice.  Stir for 10-15 seconds to chill the drink.  Serve cocktail with new ice.  Garnish with sliced apples and cinnamon sticks.  Enjoy.

Ingredients

 

 

2 ounces Ledgerock Vodka

2 ounces apple cider

1/2 ounce caramel syrup

Ginger Beer

Apple pie spice

     

 

Prep

 

 Add Ledgerock Vodka, apple cider and caramel syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain over ice. Top with Ginger beer. Garnish with apple pie spice and apple slice fan.  Enjoy.

Ingredients

 

 

2 ounces Farm Boy Bourbon

6 ounces cranberry juice

1 ounce maple syrup

½ ounce Triple Sec

 



 

 

Prep

Add Farm Boy Bourbon, cranberry juice, maple syrup and Triple Sec to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain over ice. Garnish with fresh or frozen cranberries.  Enjoy.

Ingredients

 

2 ounces Frostbite Gin

1 ounce lemon juice

2 ounces apple cider

Ginger Beer - 4 ounces

Prep

Add Frostbite Gin, lemon juice and apple cider to a glass filled with ice and stir. Top with Ginger Beer  Enjoy.

 

 


 

 

 

Hoyt's Homemade Vodka Pie Crust

Hoyt's Homemade Vodka Pie Crust

Ingredients

2 ½ cups unbleached all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons sugar

1 ½ sticks cold unsalted butter

½ cup cold vegetable shortening

¼ cup cold Ledgerock Vodka

¼ cup cold water

 

Prep

 

 

Whisk flour and salt together in a mixing bowl.

 

Cut the cold butter and then the shortening into the flour mixture with a knife until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

 

Sprinkle Ledgerock Vodka and water over the top of the mixture.  Fold together the ingredients until mixture sticks together to form a tacky dough.  Divide dough into 2 halves; flatten each half into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate 1 hour to 2 days.

 

When you are ready to make your pie, remove dough from the refrigerator, roll each piece out for your pie from the middle to the edge.  Bake according to your pie directions.  Enjoy.

Cranium Punch

Ingredients

 

2 cups cranberry juice

1 cup orange juice

1 cup Back 40 Moonshine or Ledgerock Vodka

½ cup triple sec

10 ounces cranberries, frozen

2 oranges, sliced thin

1 lemon, sliced thin

Ice cubes

Club soda

 

Prep

Slice oranges, limes and lemons into thin slices.  Add to a large pitcher or jar with cranberry juice, orange juice, Back Forty Moonshine  and triple sec.  Add frozen cranberries and enough ice to chill it well. 

Serve punch with fruit garnishes and a splash of club soda in each glass. Enjoy.

Ingredients

 

 

2 ounces Retzer Farm Bourbon

1 teaspoon maple syrup

Spiced Apple Cider

Garnish with a cinnamon stick, apple slice, or orange slice.

 

Prep

Fill glass with ice.  Pour in Retzer Farm Bourbon, maple syrup, and spiced apple cider.  Shake.  Garnish with a cinnamon stick, apple slice, or orange slice.  Enjoy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pumpkin Spice Mule

Pumpkin Spice Mule

Ingredients

 

 

2 ounces Ledgerock Vodka

2 heaping Tablespoons of Pumpkin Puree

¼ teaspoon pumpkin spice

Squeeze of lime

Ginger Beer

 

 

 

Prep

Fill the glass with ice.  Mix Ledgerock Vodka, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and lime juice.  Stir vigorously.  Top with ginger beer.  Enjoy.

Ingredients

 

 

Lime wedge, for rim

White sugar

1 cup Ledgerock Vodka

1 ½ cups cranberry juice

¼ cup Triple Sec

¼ cup fresh lime juice or Rose’s Lime Juice

 

Prep

 

Run a lime wedge around the edge of each glass and then dip with sugar.

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice then add ice, Ledgerock Vodka, cranberry juice, Triple Sec and lime juice.  Shake until the cocktail shaker is cold.

Divide drinks between rimmed glasses. Garnish with cranberries. Enjoy.
